The National Museum Of Catholic Art
Miss Liberty: National Museum of Catholic Art director Christina CoxThe National Museum of Catholic Art and History located at 443 East 115th Street, NYC.
The National Museum of Catholic Art and History recognizes that a society’s most noble aspirations are given voice in its religious and cultural achievements. The Museum’s mission is to inform diverse audiences about the aesthetic, devotional, historical, and cultural dimensions of Catholicism and its contribution to the Judeo-Christian tradition in the fields of visual arts, literature, poetry, music, dance, ritual, and film. The Museum also will explore the rich and complex dialogue between Christianity and other religious traditions. In these endeavors the Museum hopes to foster respect and tolerance among all communities of faith and the cultures in which they arise as well as encourage a deepening appreciation of the distinctive expressions they inspire.
